The 30-hour Construction Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to participants with some safety responsibility. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. This course will teach participants how to identify, predict and avoid hazards in the workplace. Students who complete this OSHA-authorized course will receive an official OSHA card from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). OSHA 30-Hour Construction topics include:
- Major Fall, Caught-In/-Between, Struck-By and Electrocution Hazards (OSHA Construction Focus Four)
- Protection from Crane Hazards
- Steel Structure Hazards
- Confined Space Hazards
- Fire Hazards
- Activities That May Cause MSD and RMD Injuries
- Choosing and Using Appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
